Raam Naam Sankirtan sung by Shri Babaji on Tuesdays

The Path to Peace: Faith, Grace & True Surrender

Recorded back in 2019 at a Meditation retreat in Perth, Australia, Babaji talks in detail about faith, grace and surrender.

"In childhood, we used to have sometimes a certain wish, then we would pray. But then we also used to allow, “Finally, whatever You wish may happen accordingly, but please inspire my wisdom to be quiet, to accept that situation.” So, that is how you will be able to notice the faith.

Finally, after some time when you look back, you will get to see that though at that moment it was a bit unpleasant, it happened, finally that would have become a reason for you to achieve the highest things. Slowly and slowly go for the highest thing and reach Self-Realization one day, of what the Ultimate Truth is. This becomes possible." ~ Shri Babaji

The Divine Guru taught me

"Meditation means 'attention to.'"

Meditation means 'attention to.' To observe or pay attention means you are required to apply mental attention, which is the primary need. A sensory organ like the ear or eye etc. serves as a secondary line of paying attention. The mind's concentration, or applying that consciousness called the mind, without any thought, is the real meditation. That is when you become aware of the Truth on which you are trying to apply the attention.

Before paying attention the mind cannot know what It is. When the mind tries to imagine, based on hearing or reading of others' experiences or teaching, the mind shall limit it. Because whenever the mind hears or tries to know, its imagination erupts. When the mind tries to apply intelligence it has to imagine. The mind itself exists because of imagination. When total concentration is applied by the mind without thinking anything, or without imagining anything, then that mind becomes Pure Consciousness. That is the real meditation.

When you meditate like this, stopping all imaginations and this mind, the Pure Consciousness, which is considered like a droplet of the Ocean for the sake of understanding, becomes one with the origin, the Supreme Consciousness. When the mind stops totally, that is the Truth of Existence and nothing exists beyond.
